Entry mould

In the entry mould, pressure is applied by upper punches which penetrate into the cavity of the die box where there is powder.

In this type of mould the pieces are pressed in an inverted position, therefore only the upper punches form the back side of the ceramic. The pieces are turned upon output from the press, allowing the manufacture of pieces with spacers.

The advantages of the entry mould are that thanks to this simplicity in construction, there is a much lower manufacturing cost, high productivity, and the possibility of inverting reliefs to press them on the upper section (depending on the type of design).
